DISCOVERING PURPOSE AFTER PAIN

Purpose discovery has to be one of the most complicated processes of life so far, as it comes with a truckload of mistakes- avoidable and unavoidable ones. These mistakes are usually accompanied by large doses of agony sometimes leaving us to wallow in self-pity, and in dire cases, severe depression.

I must have you know that the longer you stay wallowing in the pain, the longer it would take for you to move towards your purpose. After the pain has passed or you have healed from it, you will still be saddled with the responsibility of discovering your purpose. So, I dare say to you, stop feeling sorry for yourself, get up and go about finding your purpose.

Here are a few ways you can find your purpose amidst pain:

  1. Understand that it is a process: Understanding that the pain is a process you need to go through to get better will make it a lot easier to find your purpose.
  2. Believe in yourself: Believe you can overcome, that you are stronger than what lies in front of you, that you are bigger than the pain. Believe in yourself, you can handle it.
  3. Be committed: Being committed is an attribute lacking in many people these days but that is the only way to stay dedicated to our cause. Do not lose sight of what is before you. Stay focus, committed and consistent. You will surely win.
